Warm misty landscape

History

Falcon Meadow was owned by Ditchingham United Charities until 2012 when it was sent for sale at auction. With not enough time to fundraise to purchase it for the town, a local businessman stepped in and bought it. When he decided to sell it on in 2015, he agreed to sell to the town for the same price that he had paid for it. A steering group of five was rapidly formed and managed to raise sufficient money as a mix of private loans and donations for the purchase to be completed, so the meadow is now held in Trust for the town.

The Falcon Meadow Community Trust is Registered Charity number 1161688 and owns the freehold of the meadow.
